How To Wash Your Unit

1) Make sure that the hair is all brushed and there are no knots anywhere. Start by putting your lace wig on its wig stand and letting water run through the hair until it is all soaked. Make sure it is wet in the back too. The water should be fairly cool at this stage.

2) Take a mild shampoo and spread it in your hands, a small amount will be enough. Gently pat and stroke it onto the hair. Don’t rub it in. Once your rub a wig it is likely to be destroyed. Using a brush, gently brush the shampoo in long slow strokes. Start at the bottom and slowly work your way up.

3) Rinse the shampoo out using only the cool water stream and not your hands or brushes. It will take a few minutes to get all the shampoo out but be patient.

4) Squeeze out excess water and leave the wig to air dry. Caring for a curly lace front wig can prove to be a challenge in some cases. Nevertheless, this is not saying that it is not possible. You just need the expertise to learn how to maintain it the right way. The first rule is to know that the hair used in curly lace fronts wigs is not naturally. This hair has to be chemically treated with a perm in order to achieve the curly/ wavy effect. Women who buy curly lace fronts wigs desire for the hair to stay in place and be frizz free. However, many times they wet it down too much and apply different type of Alcohol product such as mousse and etc. Doing this allows them to maintain the look during the morning. However as the day progresses, there hair suddenly has a poof and frizzes show up.

5) Care for your lace front wig by:
-Making sure your hair is clean
-Purchasing a wig that is not too heavy in density
-Never use Alcohol based products or African American Products
-Make sure there are no tangles before you shampoo.
-Only use shampoo that are gentle and have low ph balance – we suggest Panteene or Cream of Nature
-Let your wig air dry on it’s own
